Conviva’s State of Streaming Q4 2021: Europe

Conviva is the census, continuous measurement and engagement platform for streaming media. Today our platform processes nearly three trillion streaming data events daily, supporting more than 500 million unique viewers watching 200 billion streams per year across four billion applications streaming on devices.

During the pandemic, streaming adoption accelerated beyond expectation, skyrocketing to new heights with every passing quarter. However, all good things must come to an end. In the case of global streaming consumption, this means a stabilization as the pandemic-driven gains are maintained and a new bar is set for what normal looks like in entertainment. Although Europe was up 20% year over year, we expect in coming quarters growth will continue to build slowly but steadily as the great streaming surge ebbs.
