Conviva’s World Series Preview 2021

Coming off the shortest baseball season since 1878, one that had empty ballparks, a strange 16-team playoff, and no World Series home games, the 2021 MLB season was a welcome return to some normalcy. And for some teams, like the Los Angeles Angels that acquired more new followers than any other team during the regular season and the Los Angeles Dodgers that earned the most cross-platform engagements, this season was particularly joyous. 

This report looks at MLB teams' social media performance during the regular season and explores how getting into the playoffs changes social trajectories.
