It has been a whirlwind two weeks for Conviva in Europe, beginning with executive visits to customers in London, DMEXCO in Cologne, IBC Leaders’ Forum, IBC exhibition, Conviva’s Executive Dinner at IBC, and culminating with the Liberty Global Tech Summit in Amsterdam. In the midst of all these amazing events, we launched Conviva Content Insights, the most significant upgrade to Conviva Experience Insights since its inception, and with these releases, expanded the Conviva Insights Portfolio to bring a 360° view across content, social media, quality of experience and advertising. Because we understand the value of streaming data to enable smarter decision-making, we provide not only visibility but actionability to transform how media executives make business-critical decisions.

Conviva’s Products Come to Life

Conviva’s custom-designed IBC booth showcased Content Insights, Social Insights, Experience Insights, and Ad Insights, visualized with life-sized infographics. As three of the four products were shown for the first time at IBC, and the fourth was completely reimagined, visitors were excited to learn more.

Launched at IBC, but already in use with Cartoon Network, CNN, DIRECTV Go a service of Vrio, and TruTV, Content Insights is an exciting addition to Conviva’s portfolio. Understanding viewer preferences and behaviors enables publishers to eliminate blind spots into what, where, when, how, and who is streaming to increase engagement, promote content that will resonate, and personalize experiences.

Also unveiled at IBC was a completely reimagined Experience Insights, with global customer support including Sling, Hulu, and DAZN sharing their excitement. Experience Insights’ dramatic improvements include an upgraded UI for responsive ad-hoc filtering and analysis, minute granularity, and expanded functionality for use across the organization.

Conviva executives, sales reps and product leads for Content Insights, Social Insights, Experience Insights, and Ad Insights were also onsite to share their passion and solution deep-dives with customers. In its debut at IBC, Social Insights was awarded CSI Magazine’s “Best Social TV Technology Service or Application.” This recognition highlights Social Insights’ ability to measure second by second live social videos in real time to fuel ongoing reporting and real time content optimization.

IBC is billed as “the world’s most influential media, entertainment and technology show,” and 2019 did not disappoint. At our booth, Conviva hosted hundreds of top customers, prospects, ecosystem partners, media, and analysts to hear their feedback, discuss and demo new product offerings, and share results and impact on the streaming industry. Particularly resonant with visitors was that Conviva now offers the complete picture across the areas that matter most to streaming media businesses, content, social, QoE, and ads.

The annual executive dinner Conviva hosts at the prestigious Restaurant Vinkeles within the Dylan Hotel, a historic location in central Amsterdam, is our favorite event to relax and connect with our customers as well as to thank them for their continued partnership. The networking and connections made among the executives in the room are invaluable to bring the industry together.

Conviva was also honored to again be invited to participate in the Liberty Global Tech Summit, an event that brings together Liberty Global employees and trusted technology partners from around the world. We were excited to discuss Conviva’s capabilities with teams throughout the organization and to speak on the topic of “An Industry in Transition the OTT Measurement Challenge” with Conviva Product Director Sudhi Nada taking the stage.

Conviva Executives in the Spotlight

Conviva was honored to reflect our thoughts in a number of interviews and presentations throughout IBC. Conviva CEO Bill Demas took the stage at the IBC Leaders’ Forum to discuss the “New Attention Economy in the Age of Streaming” and Conviva Chief Strategy Officer Keith Zubchevich explored “The Value of Streaming Advertising as A New Measurement Standard” onstage at the IABM Future Trends theatre. Our team also shared their thoughts in interviews with Chief Product Officer Aditya Ganjam sitting down with the IABM, VP of Strategy Nick Cicero live on Facebook Live, and CEO Bill Demas joining IBC TV.
