AEG Digital Media to Provide Live Streaming and Online Content for Worldwide Event
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AEG Digital Media, the leading provider of complete webcast management, production and media services for live streaming events and online video, announced today it is partnering with Control Room, the world’s leading producer of global music events, to provide live streaming and online content for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Kick-Off Celebration Concert to be held June 10 at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
AEG Digital Media was selected by Control Room because of its expertise in providing world-class digital media management, production and distribution for live online streaming and video capture for the largest and most exciting live events. AEG was tasked with building the online player, bringing in the live high definition satellite feed from South Africa to its state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles, encoding the video feed, and distributing it to the web through Vevo.com, and also recording it on high definition video servers to be used for later rebroadcasts.

Expected to be the greatest entertainment event to date on the African continent, the event will be televised to millions worldwide.
